Alexander Wang has set the course in the direction of sports. The American designer has just unveiled an accessible capsule for H&M in New York, to be released on November 6 in stores and online. He has taken a very sports and technical-themed turn with a swaggering, urban attitude.

Balenciaga’s creative director has not been shy in taking charge of the collaboration’s overall look, pointing the range in the exactly the direction that he wanted. And so, besides pieces for both men and women, the capsule also includes a great deal of accessories and even products to actually play sports: towels, sponges, a whistle, boxing gloves, etc.

Technical models such as lifejackets, leggings and breathable tops stand alongside more everyday items, which also reference sportswear. The range of colors, limited to matt and glossy black with variations of gray, is very urban. Leather also figures in among materials with sportswear connotations.

With prices ranging from 30 to 250 euros for jackets or parkas, Alexander Wang’s ready-to-wear collection is quite accessible, which is in fact, the whole point of the collaboration.

With 75 pieces, the capsule will be released on November 6 in a selection of 250 stores worldwide, as well as online for those countries with H&M e-shops.
