Matchesfashion is continuing to bolster its senior team and has named insider Natalie Kingham to the newly created role of Global Fashion Officer. The aim is for her to build “deeper relationships with the world’s most discerning luxury customers”.

Kingham has been with the company for a decade and was most recently Fashion & Buying Director there. She’ll be reporting to Elizabeth von der Goltz, who is herself preparing to join the firm in a newly created role. She comes on board from Net-A-Porter as Chief Commercial Officer in February.

Kingham said she’s looking forward to evolving the retailer’s proposition “and continuing to showcase an innovative curation of designer talent”.

In fact, Kingham is known for nurturing design talent, particularly younger names as they develop, and was a driving force of Matches’ launch of The Innovators programme this year.

She’s also helped the retailer move into areas such as lifestyle, homewares and fine jewellery.

Her promotion is just the latest in a series of big moves at the top of the company in recent months. Next February’s arrival of Elizabeth von der Goltz will happen exactly a year after the business welcomed a new CEO in the shape of Ajay Kavan.

And it’s not so many months since Jason Weston joined as COO and Sean Glithero as CFO.
