Two former executives from the LVMH luxury group have joined Parisian label Sézane at the start of 2023, taking over two key positions. The ready-to-wear label founded by Morgane Sézalory has hired Arnaud Ameline as chief operating officer, while Antoine Auvinet has joined Sézane as omni-channel director.

Before joining Sézane, Ameline, a graduate of the HEC business school, spent more than 16 years at LVMH-owned Christian Dior Couture, lately as head of supply chain, logistics, omni-channel operations and product quality.

For his part, Auvinet has worked at LVMH-owned French luxury label Celine since 2018. In May 2021, he was appointed Celine's vice-president omni-channel, as indicated in his LinkedIn profile. An experienced luxury industry executive, Auvinet previously worked for Swiss label Bally, notably as managing director EMEA Emerging Markets, and then from October 2014 as chief client officer and vice-president global omni-channel. He also previously worked for Cartier and watch-maker Harry Winston.

Sézane was founded by Sézalory and Thibault Lougnon in 2013. In addition to its e-shop, the label currently operates 12 monobrand stores in Paris, Aix-en-Provence, Lille and Bordeaux in France, and also in New York, London and Madrid. Between March and April, Sézane is set to open a store in Paris’s Marais district, at 33 rue des Blancs-Manteaux.

The label will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, and in September 2022 it sold a stake to Téthys Invest, the investment firm of the Bettencourt-Meyers family, owners of L'Oréal. Sézane will soon unveil its first make-up line, and the arrival of two former LVMH executives is likely to bolster its aim of gaining a more upmarket positioning.
