The street rue de la Paix, a historical venue for jewelry by the Place Vendome, is now poised to become one of Paris’s main venues for luxury watches. Not least because it is also located near the future location of the Old England store, scheduled to open in the beginning of 2013.

No less than two prestigious labels have signed leases on this street. Vacheron Constantin, of the Richemont Group, has acquired Henri Maupiou the store. It now has 80 m2 (861 sq ft) on the ground floor and more than 50 m2 (538 sq ft) on the basement level.

As for Breitling, it will replace the old Elegance store which is 150 square meters (1,614 sq ft) in size (a Franck Desnoyers Council and SCC-Vendôme transaction).

These openings for the two brands will add the Parisian locale to a long list of their stores around the world—demonstrating their desire to showecase their product in the heart of the most elegant setting.
